Kathryn Burr Miceli – “Katie”

Katie is the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operations Officer of Kiely Wealth Advisory Group. Her responsibilities include managing the firm’s Compliance Department in conjunction with the laws set forth by the Securities Exchange Commission; overseeing the day-to-day operations of each of the companies 5 branches; coordinating the Marketing and Administrative departments and troubleshooting client problems.

A native Virginian, Katie earned a BA degree in Communications from East Carolina University, with a concentration in Business, Advertising and Public Relations. She started with Kiely Wealth Advisory Group in 2000, where she began as an intern and later accepted a full-time job with the firm. In the spring of 2004, she earned her compliance certificate by National Regulatory Services with concentrations in Form ADV, Advisory Agreements and Advisor Acts. She has worked closely with some of the nations leading Compliance lawyers and gained extensive knowledge from her relationships with them. While continuing her full-time work with The Kiely Group, Katie has also worked with two other advisory firms, Retirement Educational Services, LLC and Carolina Wealth Management. From 2004 to 2007, she played a vital role in the compliance and operational start-up of both of these firms.

Katie also brings to the firm, a great knowledge of marketing and public relations due to her close work with a former member of the Board of Directors for Virginia Community Colleges. Through continuous promotion of organizations and community colleges in the Southside area of Virginia, Katie gained hands-on experience in public relations, politics, and marketing. Katie has also worked with Darden, Inc. where she gained extensive experience with employee development and educational training. There she was responsible for the customer services training of over one hundred employees.

Her hobbies include spending time with her husband Kevin and her daughter Reese. Katie loves running, reading, golf, yoga, community service and traveling.
